Isaiah 61: 1-3 (NKJ) “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has
anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal
the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of
the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and day of vengeance of our God; To
comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them
beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for
the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
The Lord placed this verse on our hearts almost since
the beginning of our ministry. It is our desire that everyone be set free
from their internal prison. From
the bondage that robs their joy. From the heaviness that is in their
hearts. Through the power of The
Holy Spirit God is using us in a way to help people bring out the hurt,
pain, and unforgiveness. When the
process is complete there is truly beauty for ashes. We give glory and honor to God. His mercy and power is overwhelming.
This is
Pastor Rick and I would like to share with you how this
prayer/counseling/deliverance ministry started. To do this, I have
to go back to the beginning and start with my testimony. To read my testimony click here
For the most
part, here is how this ministry works, keeping in mind that every case is
unique and we cannot put God in a box.
We have to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
When someone contacts us for ministry, whether through phone calls, emails,
or in person, we pray for them and God shows us their life. He
shows us the details of both his/her past and present, especially in
those spiritual areas in which "gates" have been opened that
allow the enemy come in and take him/her captive. For example,
child abuse, rejection, was there some sort of trauma in their life, were
they knowingly or unknowingly involved in some type of witchcraft such as
Ouija board use, calling upon the dead,
praying to the dead, etc.; as a child or youth, did they get caught up in
or even experiment with homosexuality, bestiality, or an incestuous sin,
were they molested or raped, were they or are they addicted to alcohol,
drugs, work, sex, etc., or just anything else that could have opened a
door to the enemy. Though God shows us these things, we do not share
them with him/her; we have them ask that the Holy Spirit guide them as
he/she digs into his/her own past to find these open gates on their
own. Our function is to help guide/lead the participant through the
self-introspection of their past. An example might be something “look
into the year of your 7th grade when
you were fighting with your brother”…. When God shows us they have
found all the gates that were opened up during the course of his/her life
and they have allowed God to close them forever through repentance,
forgiveness, acceptance, and closure, then we come together and pray for
them to be delivered or set free of the bondage and vise that has robbed
them of their freedom and joy. Almost always we see a physically
healing when an individual is spiritually set free.
This process
seems long and painful, and it can be.
However, when it is completed, the sense of cleansing and renewal
that one experiences, though individual and unique, is difficult to
articulate. In our experience only about 1-5% of those who complete this
process re-open the gates and become "re-infected" or fail to
be set free forever!
If you or anyone you know is suffering from any or the following
symptoms or any form of bondage, whether you/they are Christian or not,
it is more likely than not that the cause of the affliction is the
presence of a spirit of the devil, a demon. The list is as follows:
THE BRAIN:
1.
Hearing
voices internally or audibly.
2. Frequently
seeing angels, dark shadows or other spirit beings.
3. Migraine headaches with no
organic cause (normal CT
and MRI exams)\
4. Uncontrollable racing
thoughts.
5. Persistent/strange unwarranted
fears, phobias or anxieties.
6. Nightmares,
bad dreams or strange repetitive dreams.
7. Persistent
anti-social, obsessive or compulsive thoughts.
8. Chronic
memory or concentration deficits with no organic cause.
9. Dyslexia
and other learning disabilities (not all cases).
10. Chronic inability
to feel the Holy Spirit and "break thru" to God.
11. Biblical reading deficits and
the "my mind goes blank" syndrome.
12. Formally diagnosed mental
illnesses such as bipolar, OCD, MPD/DID, etc.
13. An
avulsion to people or an absence of compassion for others.
14. Chronic fatigue syndrome.
15. Long term chronic depression.
16. Uncontrolled anger or rage.
17. Isolationism.
18. Addictions of any kind (alcohol, drugs,
pornography, sex,
workaholic, etc.)
THE BODY:
1. Lung disorders (sleep apnea, asthma, cancer).
2. Arthritic disorders (RSD, RLS,
fibromyalagia, rheumatoid).
3. Physical
illness with no reasonable medical diagnosis or multiple professional
diagnosis'.
4. "Hypochondriac"
illnesses that no one really believes you have.
THE MIND:
1. Obsessive religious thoughts & ideas that do
not really help anyone.
2. Obsessive religious thoughts
regarding the end of the world or the Apocalypse.
3. Prior
experience in the occult or religious cults such as Christian Science,
Scientology, TM or Free Masons.
4. Strong
knowledge of the Bible and Christianity while living an unholy lifestyle.
A sinful "Bible thumper".
5. Bitterness
and unforgiveness that won't go away.
6. Antisocial
behaviors (chronic unemployment, job hopping, frequent firings or
relationship break ups, suicidal thoughts)
7. Chronic church hopping.
8. A critical/critiquing nature
regarding religion, theology and preachers.
9. Feeling
the need to constantly give a "word" from God to
people with the ability to
effortlessly dismiss it or make
excuses when it does not come
true.
10. Constantly
blaming others for self-inflicted personal problems.
11. Frequently seeing
conspiracies.
We truly see people set free each and every
day! It is often difficult to make the decision to go through this
process. It seems embarrassing and uncomfortable to write out or
talk about all the old junk in your life; then to dig up and share with a
total stranger all the deepest, darkest pains, scars, and secrets.
If you are a Christian, the first thing you are going to say to yourself
or hear from another Christian is that you don’t need to dig into the
past because your sins are covered by the blood Jesus shed on the cross.
And there is no argument here, as the sins are definitely covered by the
blood. This is NOT a salvation issue! The work here has
nothing to do with salvation or the redeeming work of the cross for your
eternity; it is to get rid of the bondage and fulfill the full work of
the cross. It is not us, but rather Jesus who does this work!
(Luke chapter 4:18-19 what did Jesus quote from Isaiah) We thought
it would be helpful and encouraging for you considering this process to
read the
testimonies of others who have completed the process; what they went
through, how they felt then versus how they feel today. I strongly suggest that you take a few
minutes and read some of these very powerful testimonies. God Bless!
